Bonsai bark protection tape is applied to the branches or trunk of your bonsai in order to protect the bark during wiring and bending. Supplied in a 4.5m long roll and available in 19mm and 23mm wide, this silicon black rubber tape adheres to itself to form a barrier between the tree and the wire.To apply you remove the backing, stretch the tape and wrap tightly, the tape will stretch to twice its normal length during application.The tape is highly UV resistant so will not break down quickly when exposed to the sun, and is waterproof when applied.When you are ready to remove the wire and tape, the tape can be cut away using a sharp knife slid under the tape.
