Due to the difference in steel and techniques used, dressmaking shears range from cheap to expensive. These Japanese dressing shears Banshu 101 are of high quality made using high carbon steel from Nippon Steel (using Hitachi Yasugi Steel White Paper Grade) which requires experienced craftsmen to handle. In addition to sharpness, it is also excellent in durability. It’s ideal for cutting fabrics and threads, You can also cut materials such as vinyl but do not cut hard objects such as wire or wood as this will cause the blades to chip. We do not recommend cutting paper as the rivet of these shears is finely adjusted for cutting fabrics and threads. Care Instructions -Do not cut hard objects such as wire and dried flowers with these scissors.
