Preparation: For safety, use thick gloves or wrap the oyster in a towel while opening. 2. Hold the Oyster: Hold the oyster with the flat side up (rounded side down). Ensure the hinge (the joint) is facing you. 3. Insert the Knife: Insert the tip of the knife into the hinge part and gently wiggle the knife deeper. Be careful not to use too much force. 4. Separate the Hinge: Twist the knife left and right to cut the hinge. Once the hinge is cut, slide the knife along the upper shell to remove the top shell. 5.
