Bonsai Soil Premium Mix Bonsai Soil Premium Mix Better results come from using the best materials to make our premium bonsai soil mix. Our Premium Pre-mixed bonsai soil in a handy grip seal bag. Contains a mixture of Akadama and Kyodama for excellent drainage and water retention to promote healthy root growth, along with well-rotted pine bark. We use this mixture for smaller bonsai, pots up to about 8 inches . For trees larger than this we tend to use the Outdoor Mix, as it is slightly less water-retentive. We use this mix frequently around the nursery ourselves. We decant the soil parts form larger bags to save you buying full bags.
